Book 'marseille(s)'
Association Le Percolateur in Marseille offers each year a carte blanche to a Mediterranean photographer who delivers his vision of the city of Marseille. Over the years, the diversity of photographic language outlines the portrait of a multicultural city from a different auter's view.
The first title of the collection presents the work of Yusuf Sevinçli, a young Turkish photographer exhibited around the world. Of a harsh contrasted b&w images with thick grain and scratched surfaces, his almost compulsive shots of the daily life, made of wandering and instability, propose a subjective and profound vision of the city of Marseille.
The photographs are accompanied by a text by the writer Christian Garcin who grew up in Marseille.
