Walking (Vichy), 2015

Walking is the outcome of Yusuf Sevincli's one month artist residency in the small town Vichy, France. Famillier of urban areas, it has stepped up meetings in the heart of his stay in Vichy in March 2015, pushing the door bars, restaurants, associations, but also apartments and houses, taking time to talk to everyone, creating a link that gives each portrait intimate dimension.

"Through his gripping, nomadic lens, the spa city of Art Nouveau façades and neo-classical villas parts company with its history, its geography, to become a stage for encounters and adventures, a place to indulge in mental projection, a visual poem. Thanks to Sevinçli, Vichy awakens from a strange dream, becoming brighter, more nervous, and evermore elusive." — Natacha Wolinksi
